We found this project quite challenging. None of us had practice with editing and creating websites and the content for them so this was a learning experience.
When it comes to the website itself, it was definitely a demanding learning curve but after a while, we got the hang of it. WordPress is certainly a more complicated website to work with (we tried wix first but decided to switch to wordpress because it seemed that wix was doing all the work for us) but we think that it was worth it. We feel confident enough to create a website now whenever we might need to do it.
The editing process altogether wasn’t easy but finding people who were willing to participate in our video and interview was even harder. The recording process was fun and easy-going thanks to the people who were ok with taking part in our project. After that was done, working with the programs was, once again, a matter of time. Adobe premiere elements 15 was simpler to work with and editing the video felt more natural and intuitive. The audio was a bit more complicated but we eventually figured it out aswell.
For the poster, we decided to use photoshop. For us it was quite complicated to understand it all at the start, since we had never worked with the program and we were having some trouble figuring out how to resize our original picture. After googling and researching how to do the more complicated parts that we couldn’t figure out by ourselves, it became an easy task.
Regarding the theme, we thought it would be an interesting choice from the start. It allowed us to understand how major AI is right now and how it is going to become in the future. Also this theme became a lot more important to us when we realized how dependant we already are and how much more we will be in a near future. Everything that we will do and need is going to have, behind the scenes or not, some type of AI. We think that it may become a little risky but that it’ll probably take a while for it to get to that point.
